Masking Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision finishing, is seeking a Masking Technician to join their team. As a Masking Technician, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the finishing process. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Tonganoxie, KS

Pay Range: $17.00

Shift: 6am - 4:30pm

What's the Job?

• Prepare parts for powder coating by applying masking materials such as tape, plugs, caps, and custom masks.
• Read and interpret masking diagrams, work orders, and customer specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect parts before and after masking to verify cleanliness and proper placement.
• Use knives, scissors, templates, and precision tools to cut masking materials to exact sizes.
• Work closely with powder coaters and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and quality standards.

What's Needed?

• No experience needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify small defects.
• Strong manual dexterity and comfort working with small components.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Basic ability to read work orders, drawings, and measurement tools.
• Reliable work ethic and effective communication skills.
