Line Cook

Butterworth's is looking for a reliable, motivated line cook to join our kitchen. You will own a station during service, cook to recipe spec, and help us deliver consistent food to restaurant guests and event parties. The work is fast-paced, and we value teamwork and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and break down your station each shift.
• Prep ingredients (chop, portion, make sauces) to par levels.
• Cook and plate menu items to recipe, portion, temperature, and presentation standards.
• Execute tickets accurately and on time, and communicate with the expo and neighboring stations.
• Support event and banquet production when scheduled.
• Label, date, and rotate all product (FIFO), and keep temperature logs current.
• Keep your station clean and sanitized throughout service and at close.
• Tell the chef early about shortages, equipment problems, or quality issues.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and follow menu updates.
• Follow all DC Health food safety and sanitation rules.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of line or prep cook experience, or equivalent training.
• Safe knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking methods.
• Food Handler certification. A Food Protection Manager certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hot, high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $25.00)
