About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas

Start Date: August 18, 2026

Location: Dallas, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); weekend and rotating call requirements; 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a high-risk obstetrical unit specializing in labor and delivery
• 24-bed Women's Hospital unit with AWHONN-recommended staffing ratios maintained 80% of the time
• Patient ratios: cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable postpartum mag 2:1, unstable or laboring mag 1:1, Pitocin or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1
• Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN; GE fetal monitors utilized
• Procedures include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, and post-delivery recovery care
• Floating may be required to antepartum unit within Women's Services as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery bedside experience required
• Experience with high-risk obstetrical care, circulating in cesarean sections, and recovering high-acuity patients
• Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate required
• Proficiency with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, and post-delivery recovery care
• Adherence to facility dress code and attendance policies
