Responsibilities

The Charge Nurse for the Psychiatric Unit will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe nursing care while adhering to regulatory standards. This role involves providing leadership to the staff by serving as an effective resource, role model, mentor, and agent of change.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in nursing is required.

• A valid and active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.

• BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into this role, prior to engaging in direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with prior Charge or Lead nursing experience preferred.

The compensation for this position will be based on experience and education, and may include additional pay components such as differentials and call pay depending on the role.
