Compliance & Privacy Program SR. Manager - Full Time - Onsite in Manchester NH

Position Summary The Compliance and Privacy Senior Manager reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer and functions as a senior-level professional responsible for supporting the organization’s compliance program. The role involves conducting audits, special reviews, investigations, risk analysis, monitoring, education, training, and breach response. Management duties may include supervising compliance personnel as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer. Key Responsibilities Implement, develop, and monitor commercial compliance and privacy activities, programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with local, federal, and state laws and regulations. Promote a culture of ethical conduct, fostering sensitivity to compliance within the organization. Manage the annual audit work plan in collaboration with the Senior Compliance Auditor and under the direction of the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer. Prepare required reporting for committees, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees. Review compliance and privacy policies and procedures, recommending revisions and modifications as needed. Uphold and enforce the Code of Conduct. Maintain and improve a confidential/anonymous reporting system for suspected non‑compliance, fraud, and abuse, ensuring anonymity and protecting complainants from retaliation. Review complaints, concerns, or questions regarding compliance matters and provide consultative support to staff and management. Coordinate personnel issues identified during compliance activities with the Human Resources office. Maintain records of all reports of suspected compliance issues, fraud, and abuse. Develop communications to inform stakeholders of changes in laws, regulations, or the Code of Conduct. Collaborate with vice presidents, directors, and managers to develop prevention, detection, and remediation mechanisms for compliance issues. Design and deliver compliance and privacy training, education, and preventive mechanisms for employees, board members, medical staff, and other workforce members. Implement monitoring, auditing, and other detection mechanisms to identify occurrences of non‑compliance or fraud and abuse. Coordinate internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities across entity departments. Investigate audit findings and in cooperation with legal counsel retain and oversee periodic external audits when appropriate. Work with the Finance Department to ensure reimbursement of billing errors in accordance with local policy. Oversee HIPAA and other privacy concerns, including investigations and related documentation. Provide privacy expertise and lead privacy investigations. Identify compliance and privacy risk areas, conduct audits of such risk areas, and recommend actions based on audit findings. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a healthcare‑related field (e.g., MBA, MHA) or a Juris Doctor preferred. Minimum five (5) years of work‑related experience in healthcare law and regulatory matters. Licensure and Certifications Healthcare Compliance Certification (CHC) or other compliance certification strongly preferred.
