He clearly must hold to and live out a law/grace distinction.As an Assistant Pastor he will focus primarily on working with lay ministry in the areas of:* Small Groups* Men’s Ministry* Assimilation of families and individuals into deeper involvement and ultimately into membership* Churchwide Fellowships* Global Missions* Local Outreach* Staff liaison to the Deacon BoardIn addition, he will support the senior pastor in the pulpit, teaching, shepherding and visitation.In carrying out the above duties, we desire this individual to have demonstrated spiritual gifts of leadership, shepherding, and teaching with a strong gift and passion for administration.The individual should be able to:* Engage with people and tasks on their own without constant oversight.* Organize teams and tasks himself, while able to develop leaders and team members capable of contributing to the ministry areas where he is focused.* Communicate effectively and in a timely manner.* Be “attractive” to those inside and outside the church ...believers and non-believers .... capable of building strong relationships with diverse groups.**Please contact Steve Murphy at View email address on click.appcast.io.** #J-18808-Ljbffr
