SR Systems Engineer

Title SR Systems Engineer – KBR, work onsite at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO. KBR provides satellite support services to our mission critical customers, conducting real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End‑of‑Life operations for operational missions. You will provide single operational and engineering interface to the Satellite Control Network (SCN). Responsibilities Work with Space Systems and satellite systems Engineering Leadership developing systems requirements and provide systems engineering solutions. Assist developing end‑to‑end system plans and tasks. Modernize space and ground system. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues. Support risk management processes and methods. Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status and briefs to government as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5 years’ experience OR a master’s degree with 3 years' experience OR a high‑school diploma / equivalent with 9 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Systems Engineering experience. Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes. Familiarity with Agile development. Familiarity with satellite operations or other similar systems. Preferred Qualifications Program Management experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis on platforms such as Linux, Windows servers/clients and Oracle/SQL Databases. Effective communication and presentation skills to project and program management, other technical managers and customers. Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and externally) in support of requirements development. Solid technical foundation in Systems Engineering processes. Experience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments. Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment. Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments. Security+ or another DoD 8570 approved certification. Compensation Basic Compensation: $110,500 – $165,800 USD annually. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
