Job Description As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver Security Clearance in Culpeper, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post requiring an armed guard card/license, active DoD Secret Clearance, and a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $27.76 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards. Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements. Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal training, licensing requirements, and site‑specific post orders. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pepper spray certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
