Outside Sales Representative: Industrial & Waterworks Distribution Sales.

Territory: Austin/San Antonio/ South Texas/Hill Country/West Texas. Candidates must currently reside in the greater Austin/San Antonio metro area.

Compensation: $70,000 base salary + car/travel allowance + uncapped commission.

If you're driven by results and motivated by earning potential, this role offers the opportunity to significantly increase your income through sales performance. There is no commission cap, and your success directly impacts your earnings. We anticipate that within 18 to 24 months, commissions will become the largest component of your total compensation.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Representative with five or more years of industrial, municipal, construction, industrial or waterworks sales experience to join our growing team.

This position is focused on developing and expanding an assigned territory through face-to-face customer interactions. The successful candidate will maintain a consistent call cycle, visit 8 to 14 customers per day, strengthen relationships with existing accounts, and aggressively pursue new business opportunities. A proven track record of territory growth and successful outside sales performance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through regular in-person customer visits.
• Maintain a disciplined call cycle, visiting at least 8 to 14 customers per day.
• Develop strong relationships with distributors, municipalities, engineers, OEM, and industrial customers.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
• Achieve territory growth through increased sales, market penetration, and customer retention.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of industrial and waterworks products and applications.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and product recommendations based on customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and timely order fulfillment.
• Analyze territory performance and implement strategies to achieve sales objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of successful outside sales experience in industrial, waterworks, construction, municipal, or related industries.
• Demonstrated history of territory growth and achieving or exceeding sales goals.
• Proven ability to maintain a consistent customer call cycle and manage a sales territory independently.
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience using CRM systems, HubSpot, Microsoft Office apps, including Spread Sheets
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing daily travel within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
