Service Advisor - Repair

As a Service Advisor at Inver Grove Toyota, you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department. Your role is to ensure an exceptional customer experience by understanding vehicle issues, recommending necessary services, and coordinating with technicians to deliver timely and quality repairs. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships with our clients. This is a position that requires prior dealership experience as an advisor as this is in our repair shop. Position is Mon-Fri with rotation of every 6th Saturday and in an air-conditioned room, not on the service aisle. You will not be writing up any cars or handling oil changes mostly mechanical repair and warranty with your own dedicated team of technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate estimates for services and repairs, explaining the work needed in a clear and friendly manner.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
• Manage scheduling of service appointments and follow up with customers regarding service status and completion.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, services performed, and parts used.
• Work to achieve monthly sales and service goals.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service-related issues professionally and efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive service advising or a related customer service role required (Dealership/Toyota is preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical information in simple terms.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service software.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
