Sales and Design Consultant

We are looking for an energetic, confident person who loves helping people and has an eye for design. 

As a Sales & Design Consultant, you will run the full sales cycle, from the client’s first conversation through design, pricing, and closing. This job is in our local showroom /warehouse location. 

What We Are Looking For

• 2–5 years of sales experience (home services, retail, design, or other consultative selling preferred).
• Strong communication, confidence, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to follow a structured sales and order process.
• Self-motivated, proactive approach to generating business.
• High responsiveness and exceptional customer service habits.
• Basic iPad/computer skills Microsoft Office Suite and comfort using CRM tools.

• Ask strategic questions, understand budgets, and confidently close the sale.
• Achieve key performance metrics such as closing ratio, average sale, and sales per opportunity.
• Manage warm leads provided to you and proactively build referral and repeat business.
• Develop relationships with clients, builders, designers, and other referral partners.
• Handle objections and negotiate with professionalism.

Deliver Exceptional Client Buying Experience

• Listen carefully to each client’s needs and design within their goals and budget.
• Design organization units and solutions for clients
• Offer clear explanations of pricing, materials, timelines, and the installation process.
• Review designs with clients and ensure every detail matches their vision.
• Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after installation.

Leverage CRM & Sales Tools

• Keep all client activity, quotes, notes, and follow-up tasks updated 
• Submit designs, pricing, samples, paperwork, and contracts accurately and on time.
• Report appointment outcomes promptly and maintain a disciplined follow-up process.

Develop Your Sales & Design Expertise

• Participate in sales meetings, ongoing training, and coaching sessions.
• Work weekly with your manager to review goals and sales strategy.
• Utilize training content to strengthen selling and design skills.
• On going training on products, sales skills and design

Provide expert product selection assistance, finding the perfect product for each client. 

• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively navigate challenges and provide solutions.
• Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact as well as work productively with all departments.
• High School diploma or GED preferred
