Managing Family Law Paralegal

This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a seasoned Virginia family law paralegal who combines strong legal knowledge with proven team management experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling Virginia family law matters and the ability to lead, mentor, and support a team of paralegals while ensuring efficient case management, high-quality work product, and compliance with Virginia court procedures and legal standards. This role is designed for a hands‑on legal professional who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and partnering with attorneys to support a successful family law practice. Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and provide ongoing support to a team of Virginia family law paralegals. Manage workflow, monitor assignments, and help prioritize caseload responsibilities. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Promote best practices, accountability, and professional development within the paralegal team. Serve as a resource for complex family law procedures, documentation, and case management strategies. Review legal documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and case files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Assist attorneys with complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, discovery, and trial preparation. Support preparation of motions, court filings, exhibits, correspondence, and other legal documents. Ensure deadlines, court requirements, and filing procedures are consistently met. Develop and implement efficient workflows for case management and document preparation. Identify opportunities to improve team operations, communication, and productivity. Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to support the overall success of the practice. Maintain organized case files and ensure adherence to firm procedures and confidentiality standards.
