You will also oversee the analysis of past performance on projects, establish estimating standards for all future estimates, and supervise the historical cost database, bid management, and estimating software.Do you possess strong critical thinking skills and an eye for detail? We are a professional organization offering quality benefits, including:Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance401(k) with company matchCompetitive PTO, holidays, and additional incentivesWhat We Ask of You:Assign responsibilities for the Estimating Team on each projectEvaluate requests for estimates with the Executive Team, prepare weekly bid calendar, and reviewsConduct weekly estimating meetings to ensure timely completion of estimatesReview project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm the complete scopeAssist with identifying risk issues and their level of importanceManage the soliciting of subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing for each projectOversee the instructions to bidders, bid form, and other bid solicitation information as required for each projectCoordinate technical proposal requirements with the Marketing Department and manage insurance requirementsParticipate in the transfer of information on successful projects, including the job kick-off meeting, and ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documentedPartake in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriateExperience & Competencies:Bachelor of Science in a related discipline is highly desirableMinimum of 10+ years in estimating HVAC and/or Plumbing projectsBe proficient in all computer software programs used in estimating with particular emphasis on Quick Pen estimating softwareStrong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systemMust have a strong work ethic and detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepanciesStrong organizational and interpersonal skills to be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job doneAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environmentMust have the integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to represent the company in the most professional, positive mannerJohn W.
