Chief Estimator

A well‑established Central Ohio general contractor is seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead and oversee the company’s estimating department. This leadership role will be responsible for managing a team of estimators, driving preconstruction strategy, and ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely project bids. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team to ensure consistent performance and growth. Oversee preparation of conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for commercial construction projects. Collaborate closely with operations, preconstruction, and executive leadership to support company goals. Review and approve estimates, scopes, and subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness. Support business development and client engagement efforts through pricing strategy and value analysis. Implement and refine estimating processes, tools, and best practices across the department. Qualifications: 10+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction, including design-build delivery methods. Proven track record managing complex projects across multiple sectors (healthcare, education, office, retail, etc.). Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
