Job Summary Manages and executes all special events for the College of Business' Office of Marketing and Communications and supports all event-related activities for college units. Oversees event schedules, operations and metrics for the College. Works with department leadership to establish strategic event plans for the College. Oversees, creates and manages events including, but not limited to, logistics, catering facilities, parking, budgets, deadlines, and maintaining client relationships. Supports all event-related needs for College of Business programs, centers and units. Serves as the venue manager for the College's Special Events Room, Lobby and Courtyard. Serves as the event liaison for these spaces for the College of Business (COB) and non-COB users. Leads the development of budgets and maintains fiscal responsibility for all College of Business' special event activities. Reviews accounts payable/receivable transactions, ensuring appropriate allocation of funds across event budget Plays an active role in developing and implementing event theme, design and experience. Supports all aspects of event marketing, attendance and participation. Works closely with event owners and COB Marketing and Communications team to create event experiences with impact. Develops and maintains working relationships with vendors. Oversees vendor quotes, invoices and payments. Adheres and stays abreast of University/College event protocols, policies, compliance expectations and best practices, and communicates these to appropriate constituents. Works collaboratively and independently in continuously improving event outcomes and experiences. Interprets university administrative and fiscal policies and procedures. Maintains records and data on all planned and executed events and reports on event metrics. Acts as an event industry expert, making and sharing information regarding new technology, trends and best practices. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; OR seven (7) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Desired Qualifications Experience leading a team of staff and/or volunteers.
