Role Description The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dolton, IL, responsible for generating new business and supporting existing customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging prospects by phone, in person, and online;
explaining insurance and financial products;
and recommending coverage options aligned with customer needs and budgets. The role involves following up on leads, managing a pipeline of opportunities, preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate customer records in agency systems. The Sales Specialist will also assist with policy reviews, cross-selling additional products, and supporting retention efforts through proactive outreach and exceptional service. Collaboration with the agency team on marketing campaigns, local events, and customer service initiatives is expected.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated sales, customer service, and relationship-building abilities, with a focus on consultative, needs-based conversations.
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and professional writing for email and messaging.
- Comfort with using technology and agency management systems, including CRM tools, quoting software, and basic office applications.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple leads, follow-ups, and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and explain insurance concepts, products, and coverage options in an accessible way to customers.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability in meeting goals and following regulatory and company guidelines.
- Previous experience in sales, retail, customer service, or financial services is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to obtain appropriate insurance licenses as required by the State of Illinois (support may be provided by the agency).
- Availability to work on-site in Dolton, IL, with a professional, team-oriented attitude and commitment to ongoing development.
