Job Description As a Security Officer Access Management in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a utilities location, you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor records, and control access to restricted operational areas. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns. Communicate professionally with site personnel and dispatch, document observations and incidents accurately, and support continuity of utility operations. Minimum Requirements: A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
