Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:


The Registered Nurse in the CVOR department provides skilled nursing care in an acute care hospital setting, supporting surgical and perioperative patients. This role requires flexibility with on-call duties and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse is responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and maintaining communication with patients and providers. A minimum of two years of nursing experience and BCLS certification are required.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in acute care or perioperative settings.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, preferably Epic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation if required for work duties.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in cardiovascular or operating room nursing.
• Advanced certifications related to perioperative nursing.
• Familiarity with hospital call scheduling and block scheduling flexibility.

Special Considerations:

• On-call requirements include primary and secondary calls on weekdays (2230-0600) and weekends (12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0600).
• Flexibility to accommodate variable call schedules and potential block scheduling as determined by management.
• Return to Office (RTO) status must be included at time of application submission.
• Facility provides designated scrub colors for RNs and perioperative staff.

Scheduling:

• Shift assignments include day and night shifts with on-call rotations as specified.
• Call cycle spans 6 weeks, requiring 2 primary and 2 secondary weekday calls and 2 primary and 2 secondary weekend calls.
• Guaranteed hours with the ability for the facility to call off once per two-week pay period.
