Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Repairs Technician to join our team in Wixom, MI. This role is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and refurbishment of laser cutting heads and associated components. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work and has a strong background in electronics or laser cutting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Inspect and diagnose damaged laser cutting heads and optical components

·       Support the Repairs Coordinator in preparing accurate customer repair quotes

·       Troubleshoot motors, electronics, and system components

·       Clean and replace optical elements as needed

·       Maintain and manage inventory of commonly used spare parts

·       Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment

·       Assist in troubleshooting customer-reported issues related to Precitec cutting systems

·       Interpret technical drawings and manuals to support repair and diagnostic efforts

·       Computer skills (outlook and Microsoft office environment)

·       Performs data searches using the internal system.

·       Make technical reports for certain repairs

·       Support for customer training

·       Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

·       ability to interpret and follow component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents

·       Handling of hand tools, electrical/electronic testers, measuring instruments

·       Recommends improvements and works with engineering and other staff team.

Qualifications:

·       Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or repair-focused role

·       Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred

·       Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach

·       Experience with electronics or laser cutting systems is a strong plus

Additional Information:

·       Primary work location: Precitec USA, Wixom, MI

·       Occasional travel to customer sites may be required (less than 10% annually)

·       Availability to travel abroad for service and company training (sporadic)
