Clinical Nurse II: Operating Room - 40hrs/week, Days

Department/Unit: Operating Room Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 The Clinical Nurse contributes to the creation of a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening. The role recognizes and values each employee’s work and its contribution to the success of the Mission. Responsibilities Implement physician orders and administer medications. Start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document care per company policy and regulatory requirements. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided. Apply sound nursing judgment in patient‑care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non‑occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer over‑the‑counter and prescription medications as ordered. Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients. Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. Qualifications Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Minimum of 1‑3 years of clinical RN experience in Med‑Surg or Progressive Care. Excellent communication, prioritization, organization, and time‑management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem‑solving tools applied to departmental and patient care quality improvement. Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer.
