This travel ICU RN assignment offers an opportunity to strengthen your critical care nursing skills while enjoying the welcoming feel of a scenic Wisconsin community known for outdoor recreation, a charming downtown, and close proximity to the Wisconsin Dells region.Job Details\n \n Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)\n Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)\n Location: Baraboo, Wisconsin\n Employment Type: Travel Nursing\n Schedule: Night shift, 3 shifts per week\n Shift Duration: 12-hour nights\n Hours Per Week: 36\n Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030\n Orientation: 18 hours\n Charting System: Epic\n Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend\n Float Requirement: May float within scope to Med Surg as needed\n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand; pending licenses are not accepted\n Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required\n Experience managing patient ratios of 1:2-3 preferred and expected\n Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n Travel nursing experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Ability to care for adult and geriatric ICU patients\n Strong critical care skill set with comfort in high-acuity environments\n First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior ICU experience\n Responsibilities\n \n Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU\n Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, stroke, DKA, AKI, SBO, detox, sepsis, and respiratory failure\n Assist with rapid sequence intubation and other critical care procedures as needed\n Care for patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and Spacelabs monitoring\n Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, ports, blood products, IVs, and vasoactive or cardiac drips\n Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and patient status changes to guide timely interventions\n Support infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration\n Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes\n Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining excellent clinical communication\n Why You’ll Love This Location\n Baraboo offers the best of both worlds: a relaxed small-town atmosphere and easy access to outdoor adventure, local dining, and year-round recreation.
