Job Description LHH is looking to fill a Direct Hire Controller Job in San Diego, CA. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing strategic financial leadership with day-to-day operational involvement. As the Controller, you will oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities for the North American business while leading a high-performing finance team. The anticipated salary for this role is between $125,000 and $150,000 a year. Responsibilities: Oversee multi-entity financial consolidations across U.S. and Mexico operations. Manage manufacturing accounting activities, including inventory, standard costing, variance analysis, labor, overhead, and inventory controls. Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting. Ensure timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while providing meaningful analysis to support business decisions. Monitor cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking activities. Develop and enhance internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and system efficiencies. Prepare financial reports, performance metrics, and presentations for executive leadership. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team through coaching, training, performance management, and career development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations, including U.S. and Mexico operations. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements. Experience managing external audits. Advanced SAP experience required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and financial planning. Strong leadership with a collaborative, hands-on management style.
