Clinical Research Coordinator (22.5 hours) (Dr Jimenez-Shahed's Lab) - Neurology

Description The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry‑level human subjects researcher responsible for conducting and assisting in clinical research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff. The Coordinator obtains informed consent, collects, maintains, and organizes study information, and assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents such as Institutional Review Board submissions and other required paperwork. Responsibilities Conduct routine and standardized human subjects research using appropriate study techniques under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff. Assist in activities related to clinical research, including but not limited to: obtaining informed consent, screening participants for eligibility, registering participants with sponsoring agencies, administering questionnaires, and answering telephone calls. Assist in the collection, analysis, and review of experimental data for publication and presentation. Maintain source documents and subject files in accordance with Mount Sinai policies and procedures, ensuring accurate, confidential, and complete data compilation. Secure and ship clinical specimens as required by protocol. Assist in preparation for regulatory agency site visits. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in science or related field preferred, or a combination of relevant research experience and education. 0–2 years of research/human subjects experience.
