AbouttheRole Thisterritorywilltestyou,andrewardyouforit.YouwillownNewYork, down to Florida,withnoteamnearbyandnoonecheckingwhetheryouaremovingtheballforward.OneweekyoumightbeonamilitarybasewalkingaNAVFACcontactthroughthesystem.Thenext,youareinfrontofamajorairline’sMROteam,makingthesamecasewithadifferentaudience.Thesalescyclesarelong,thestakeholdersaretechnical,andthesilencebetweenmeetingscanstretchformonths.Whenahangarfinallyconverts,whenthecodeconsultant,theengineer,andthebasecommanderallsignoff,ithappensbecauseyoukeptitalive.ThisrolereportstotheVPofSalesandcarriesfullaccountabilityforturningacomplex,multi-statepipelineintoclosedbusiness. KeyResponsibilities DevelopnewbusinessopportunitiesandexpandmarketpresenceacrossCalifornia,Oregon,Washington,Nevada,Arizona,Alaska,Hawaii,andGuam. Buildandmaintaintrustedrelationshipswithengineers,contractors,governmentprocurementofficers,andexecutive-levelstakeholders. Ownthefullsalescycle,fromleadgenerationandqualificationthroughproposaldevelopment,negotiation,andclosing. Representthecompanyatclientmeetings,industryevents,andregionaltradeshowswithintheassignedterritory. Delivertechnicalpresentationsthatturnacomplexvaluepropositionintoaclear,crediblecaseforchange. Collaboratewithheadquarters-basedengineering,marketing,andprojectteamstoensureclientneedsareunderstoodandmet. Qualifications 5ormoreyearsofB2Bbusinessdevelopmentorsalesexperienceinaerospace,defense,aviationinfrastructure,oranotherhighlytechnicalandregulatedindustry. Demonstratedsuccesssellingtoengineering,government,orenterprise-levelclientswithlong,complexprocurementcycles. Experiencebuildingtrustedrelationshipswithdecision-makersatorganizationssuchasNAVFAC,USACE,majorairlines,airports,ordefensecontractors. Provenabilitytoindependentlymanageamulti-stateterritory,owningpipelinegeneration,dealclosing,andreportingwithoutcloseoversight. WillingnessandabilitytotravelextensivelythroughouttheWestCoastandPacificregion,includingmulti-daytripstoAlaska,Hawaii,orGuam. Strongtechnicalaptitudeandcomfortlearningsystemdetails,safetystandards,andbuildingcodesisaplus. FamiliaritywithCRMsystems,HubSpotpreferred,isaplus. Compensationincludesacompetitivebasesalarypluscommission,withtopperformersexceeding$300,000intotalannualcompensation.Exactstructurewillbediscussedduringtheinterviewprocessbasedonexperienceandterritorystrategy. Fourweeksofpaidvacation,increasingtofiveweeksaftertwoyearsandsixweeksafterfouryears. Healthinsurancewithcompany-paidpremium,alongwithdental,vision,andlifeinsuranceoptions.
