Hybrid Staff Accountant

Job Description Location: Westbrook, Maine CoWorx is seeking a Hybrid Staff Accountant in the Westbrook, Maine. An industrial manufacturer is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is remote flexible with and offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions. It reports to the Accounting Manager and provides direct support to their CFO. Responsibilities Support the monthly close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Assist with inventory and work-in-process (WIP) tracking and reconciliations. Process payroll and prepare related reporting. Partner with project managers to support project setup and financial tracking activities. Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting. Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and special projects as needed. Provide ad-hoc support on accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Desired Background/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (related fields are ok) 1-3+ years of accounting experience Knowledge of U.S. GAAP Payroll processing experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables Experience with ERP systems is a plus Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus Other Information Paid Time Off: 1 week PTO per year, 10 days holiday pay, 1 birthday Company cell phone and reimbursed mileage Company Health, Dental, and Vision Plan Available 401k + employer matchEmployee Assistance Program Low-cost life insurance plan CoWorx is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive team.
