Manager – Business Solutions Group

Location: Woodland Hills, Irvine, Los Angeles, Oxnard, Riverside, or Torrance, CA

Compensation: $145,000 – $165,000

Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid 1-2 Days a week max

A Top 100 public accounting and consulting firm is seeking a Manager – Business Solutions Group to oversee client accounting and outsourced accounting engagements across a broad client base.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys client communication, team leadership, month-end reporting, advisory work, and helping businesses improve their accounting processes.

The Manager will oversee multiple client engagements, ensure work is performed within scope, manage client timelines, supervise team members, and support business development and proposal activity.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee engagement teams across multiple client accounting engagements
• Manage client communications and ensure clear expectations between clients and the engagement team
• Maintain and review bank, vendor, payroll, and general ledger records
• Prepare and review month-end or period-end reporting packages
• Support reporting under accrual basis, U.S. GAAP, IFRS, or cash basis accounting
• Assist clients with budgets, forecasts, projections, dashboards, and KPI reporting
• Delegate work to Senior Accountants, Staff, and Interns
• Review team work and provide supervision, coaching, and training
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, overruns, and deliverables
• Invoice clients monthly and follow up on aged accounts receivable balances
• Participate in business development, prospective client proposals, team training, and networking activities
• Travel to client sites, networking events, or other firm offices as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 7–10 years of accounting experience
• Recent experience as an Account Manager, Client Accounting Manager, CAS Manager, outsourced accounting manager, or equivalent
• Experience in either public accounting, outsourced accounting, or an industry finance/accounting leadership role
• Strong understanding of double-entry accounting
• Experience with accounting transactions, processing, and maintenance of accounting records
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Sufficient working knowledge of taxation matters, including individual tax, corporate tax, tax structures, sales tax, and property/business taxes
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Accounting or a related field
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or another accounting software program
• Ability to manage client relationships, deadlines, and multiple engagements
• Strong communication skills and business-level fluency in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to travel to client locations or other office locations as needed
• Occasional overtime required throughout the year; heavier overtime may be required from January 1 through April 15

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Concur, or similar systems
• Spanish bilingual or second language skills
• Specialized accounting knowledge in a particular industry or technical accounting area
• CPA license or equivalent credential
