Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical/Orthopedic Unit – Colorado

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. Patient ratio of 6:1 in a 26-bed medical acute care unit.

Highlights:

• Work in a high-energy, collaborative 26-bed medical acute care unit specializing in medical/surgical and orthopedic patients
• Day shift staffing includes a Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians providing strong team support
• Manage diverse case mix including medical patients, post-operative radial cardiac catheterization, and drip protocols such as heparin
• Utilize Meditech EMR system and modern equipment including Baxter IV pumps and SCD machines

Requirements:

• Active Colorado RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year current Medical/Surgical acute care hospital experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical skills with experience managing post-operative patients and IV drip protocols
