Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a long-term occupational therapist substitute for the school year, providing essential support and care from November 2, 2026, through March 29, 2027. Make a meaningful difference by helping students achieve greater independence and success in their daily school routines.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A current license and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents
- Strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet individual student needs
- An understanding of IEP process and experience in implementing therapy within educational plans
What you'll do in this role:
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop tailored therapy plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Offer guidance and support for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies
- Participate in meetings as a member of the student support team
