Service Writer / Service Advisor — Trailer and Outdoor Power Equipment Dealership

Haul Supply | Garfield, Arkansas (Beaver Lake area, 20 minutes from Rogers) | Full-time, on-site

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience, plus monthly performance bonus potential. That is $58,000 - $79,000 annualized at 40 hours, before bonus.

Haul Supply is a growing, family-owned dealership selling and servicing trailers, zero-turn mowers, and outdoor power equipment in Northwest Arkansas. Our service department runs on one idea: time is our only inventory. Every technician hour is either sold or gone, and the Service Writer is the person who sells it.

This is not an order-taking job. You will own every repair order from drop-off to pickup, keep the shop loaded, run a documented service process, and own the department scoreboard. We are installing a modern, measured service operation, and we need a proven implementer who can run a process and make it stick.

What you will do

·       Own every repair order from check-in to pickup: complete customer and unit information, repair questionnaires, condition walk-around, and clear promised dates.

·       Keep our 24-hour promise: every customer hears a diagnosis and estimate within 24 hours of drop-off.

·       Build and present estimates with confidence, bill diagnostic time, get customer approval before work begins, and call the customer before any added work, never after.

·       Keep technicians loaded: morning triage, parts staged before jobs start, and a daily 4:00 PM reset so every tech starts the next day with approved, parts-ready work.

·       Invoice the same day work completes and file warranty claims promptly.

·       Document every customer contact in our dealership management system, same day, every time.

·       Own the weekly shop scoreboard: recovery, efficiency, productivity, and schedule capacity.

What we are looking for

·       Obsessive attention to detail. This is the number one trait for this role.

·       Strong written communication. Email and system notes are how this job runs; this is non-negotiable.

·       Service writing or service advisor experience preferred: dealership, powersports, outdoor power equipment, automotive, or trailer service.

·       Experience with a dealership management system (EverLogic, CDK, Lightspeed, or similar) is a plus.

·       Comfortable quoting from a flat-rate book and holding the quote.

·       A proven implementer: you have put a process in place somewhere and made it stick, and you can tell us about it. The top of our pay range is reserved for exactly this person.

Pay, schedule, and what to expect

·       $28.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience. Hourly, non-exempt, overtime eligible.

·       Monthly performance bonus potential tied to shop output measures, structure communicated during hiring.

·       10 days of paid time off per year, scheduled in coordination with business needs.

·       Full-time, Monday through Friday. Extended hours may be required during peak seasons.

·       We do not currently offer health insurance coverage. As the company grows we are actively working toward adding a benefits package, and we tell you that up front because we operate on straight talk. Our hourly range is set above market to reflect it.

·       90-day introductory period. Employment is at-will.
