As one of the world’s largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.Job Posting ExternalPrimary ResponsibilitiesOwn vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise data platform, aligning with business objectives and manufacturing operations needs.Lead and develop a team of data engineers and platform specialists, fostering technical excellence and innovation.Define platform architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for data management.Understand requirements across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and IT to deliver platform capabilities that drive value.Establish platform KPIs and metrics to measure performance, reliability, cost-efficiency, and business impact.Drive evolution from legacy data systems to a modern, cloud-native data platform.Architect and oversee development of scalable, secure cloud-based data platform using modern technologies and best practices.Design and implement data integration frameworks to extract, transform, and load data from SAP, IFS, Quipware, BAAN, and other enterprise systems.Build robust data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and cloud-native services for batch and real-time data processing.Establish self-service analytics capabilities, enabling business users to access and analyze data independently.Implement comprehensive data quality, lineage, and observability solutions across platform.Ensure platform security, compliance, and data governance in alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.Own the end-to-end data platform infrastructure including ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers.Evaluate, select, and integrate technologies and tools that enhance platform capabilities (data warehousing, data lakes, orchestration, cataloging, etc.).Manage cloud infrastructure and optimize performance, scalability, and cost.Establish DevOps and DataOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.Manage vendor relationships with cloud providers, technology partners, and system integrators.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems and infrastructure.Partner with Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Science teams to enable their use cases on the platform.Work with ERP system owners to design optimal data extraction and integration patterns.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, along with at least 8 years of related experience. Non-degree considered if 16+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GEDOccasional Travel (0-5%)Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree is preferred. 10+ years of experience in data platform, data engineering, or related roles, with at least 4 years in leadership capacity.Proven track record of building and operating enterprise-scale data platforms in Fabric / Azure for manufacturing or similar industries.Cloud platform certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks. Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement certifications.A reasonable commute to the New Bremen, OH location is necessary.
