Grinding OperatorThe scope of the Grinding Operator is responsible and accountable for ensuring all raw materials are appropriately dosed and batched to standard formulas. The Grinding Operator will work several positions throughout the site with the intent of preparing and mixing ingredients.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma / GEDForklift experience requiredDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachablePassion to work and learn in a manufacturing environmentAbility to act with disciplined initiativeWorking knowledge of computer programs for entering dataGood verbal and written communication skills1+ years' experience within manufacturing, technical and/or trade disciplineComfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and week plan.Physical Requirements:Lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stoopingAbility to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipmentAbility to stand and / or work on feet for extended periodsWhat will be your Key Responsibilities?Operate mixing, grinding, material handling, and cleaning equipment and systemsOperate Grinding Tower systems in accordance with Operating Procedures in a safe, productive, and efficient manner at all timesPerform Grinding Tower operational activity according to production and planning schedules and requirementsPerform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage and adjust production quantity based on inventoryReceive and unload raw materials and supplies from delivery equipmentProvide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipmentProvide reporting and documentation of Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation activities in accordance Operating ProceduresAssist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directedProvide functional communications with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safetyPerform all duties in compliance with Quality Procedures and Good Manufacturing PracticesAdhere to all safety requirementsPerform housekeeping and sanitation procedures in accordance with Food Safety and Sanitation ProgramWhat can you expect from Mars?Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
