Responsibilities: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required. In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required. Minimum Experience: No experience required with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required. Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law: BLS required. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.
