Estate and Trust Paralegal (Lancaster)
$35 - $50 per hourTri-Starr
Our client, located in Lancaster, PA, is looking for an experienced Estate & Trust Paralegal to support attorneys within a busy Estates, Trusts/Administration, and Elder Law practice. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning their work, staying organized under deadlines, and communicating confidently with clients. Ideal for a paralegal who can step in with minimal training and keep matters moving with calm, professional follow-through.
Key Responsibilities / What You’ll Do
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and local/state/federal agencies
- Support estate and trust administration, including account set-up and maintenance
- Assist with estate planning tasks as directed by attorneys
- Prepare filings such as PA Inheritance Tax Returns and Federal 706 forms (as applicable)
- Draft final accountings, releases, and distribution documents
- Communicate professionally with clients and use sound judgment on when to escalate to the attorney
- Maintain strict confidentiality and well-organized files
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
- Must have an Associate degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Estate administration experience strongly preferred (independent handling is a plus)
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and legal document formatting
