- Meat CutterTiyan, GU 96913## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Description**JOB PURPOSE:**The Meat Cutter is responsible for ensuring the efficient and precise cutting of meat products, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional service to our customers by providing them with fresh and well-prepared meat selections.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products according to company standards and customer specifications.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to health and safety regulations.* Inspect meat products for quality and freshness, ensuring only the best products are available for sale.* Assist customers by providing information on meat products and offering suggestions based on their needs.* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.* Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to management.* Operate meat cutting equipment safely and correctly, performing routine maintenance as needed.* Follow all company policies and procedures related to food safety and handling.# **ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.## Meat Cutter**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:*** High school diploma or equivalent**CERTIFICATIONS:*** Valid Health Certificate**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:*** Minimum of 2 years of experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role within a retail or grocery environment.* Able to read and speak in English.* Must be able to uphold our company’s mission statement.* Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.* Experience using commercial-grade meat cutting equipment and tools.* Strong knowledge of meat products, including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood, with the ability to differentiate between various cuts.* Proficiency in cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products to company specifications and customer requests.* Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise cutting and portioning.* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure quality and efficiency.* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.**SAFETY & HEALTH RESPONSIBILITIES:**Pay-Less Markets is committed to providing and maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for all employees and customers.
