Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced food production environment. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery involved in the production of tortillas for major companies across the United States. You will work closely with mixing machines and ovens, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and ensure it is functioning correctly.
• Replace Mesh and Teflon belts safely and accurately.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper size and weight of products.
• Verify recipes, seasoning, weights, sizes, and settings according to ERP System requirements.
• Maintain accurate production paperwork and system data.
• Record waste accurately and troubleshoot any issues.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Participate actively in food safety and food defense activities.
• Assist the sanitation department with equipment cleaning and ensure proper assembly of parts.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in operating production machinery.
• Proficiency in equipment setups, start-ups, and adjustments.
• Experience in food production, preferably in bakery settings.
• Computer skills for ERP system data entry.
• Basic English or Spanish language skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable lifting 30-55lbs consistently.
• Ability to work in a hot environment, up to 100 degrees.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.

Work Environment

Work in a food production setting that can reach temperatures up to 100 degrees. Wear company-provided attire, including a full gown, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and hearing protection. Be prepared to work with gluten particles in the air due to flour processing. Enjoy the flexibility of wearing shorts on the production floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
