Lead Case Manager

Reports To: Program Director / Assistant Program Director · Supervises: Case Managers About Family Services of America Family Services of America (FSA) is a CARF-accredited behavioral health and child welfare organization and a licensed foster care agency in the state of North Carolina, headquartered in North Carolina. FSA provides trauma-informed, evidence-based care to children and families, including licensed foster care and therapeutic foster care, case management, clinical and behavioral health services, and wraparound supports. The Opportunity The Lead Case Manager coordinates case management and permanency services for children in FSA’s foster care program, and supervises and trains Case Managers. Child-facing services are provided on-site. Please note: This is a grant-funded, term-limited position for up to three years. Continuation is contingent on grant funding. What You Will Own Coordinate case management and permanency services, ensuring services meet program timeframes and child welfare standards. Supervise and train Case Managers and ensure they complete relevant training on child welfare topics. Provide child-facing case management services on-site, including assessments, service planning, and permanency/reunification coordination. Ensure consistent care-coordination communication between medical, behavioral health, and external stakeholders; coordinate child advocate referrals as needed. Support maintenance of case management staffing ratios. Ensure accurate, timely, confidential case documentation in the EHR. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services; OR a Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of progressive experience demonstrating supervisory and case management experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Employment is contingent on successful completion of all required background checks and credentialing, including FBI fingerprint, state repository, child abuse and neglect, and sex offender registry checks, and proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases. Preferred Qualifications Case management and permanency experience in a foster care or child welfare setting. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with EHR documentation and trauma-informed case management. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $54,400 – $64,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
