Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly. Position Summary Respond to customer inquiries on services provided by the company; prepare quotes as requested by the customer. Compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes. Responsibilities Review customer quote information and prepare quotes utilizing support personnel as required. Review quote information and create and submit bid to customers within the required time frame. Itemize costs of services for each service provided; compute cost and price estimates for services provided using a wide variety of criteria. Maintain accurate paperwork and job files to facilitate smooth transition to other departments. Prepare and distribute invoices as jobs are completed. Clarify any questions pertaining to invoices received by the customer. Respect confidentiality in discussing pricing and other business related practices. Qualifications High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in billing and estimating. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Export Compliance Requirement This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies.
