Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and personal goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, comprehensive treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
\n
• Work in partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each client.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal statutes and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with seeking mental health services.

This role primarily focuses on clients experiencing mood disorders, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, including those who may face additional challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, or experiences of domestic abuse. Your expertise will contribute to transformative outcomes for these individuals, helping them navigate their mental health struggles and work toward recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
