They bridge communication between customers, technicians, vendors, operations, and management while keeping work organized, profitable, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule technicians for service calls, startups, PMs, and emergency workOptimize routes and technician utilizationPrioritize urgent customer issuesCoordinate manpower, travel, and equipment needsServe as the primary point of contact for customersProvide status updates and ETAsEnsure customer satisfaction after work completionVerify job scope, labor hours, and materialsEnsure technicians complete required documentationClose out service tickets accurately and promptlyTrack open vs. completed work ordersCoordinate parts ordering and deliveryCommunicate parts availability to technicians and customersAssist with inventory accuracy and replenishmentEnsure required safety documentation is currentCoordinate training records and certificationsVerify compliance with customer site requirementsQualificationsBe able to operate teams remotely in multiple locationsCRM software proficiencyMicrosoft Excel and reportingUnderstanding of field service operationsMust have knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT compliance to perform proper audits on company vehicle transportation.Ability and background experience to schedule strategic routes for staff.Must have experience in organizing routes for optimization and troubleshooting dispatch.A Service Coordinator is responsible for improving customer satisfaction, enhancing team productivity, and implementing strategies that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
