As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will interact with employees and visitors, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, controlling entry and assisting with visitor direction in accordance with site procedures. Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity, and observations, and promptly communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
