Friday Aid Needed for Wonderful Boy with Special Needs

Overview Hello! We're seeking an aid for Fridays, 8:30 AM - 2 PM, for a sweet eight year old boy with Down syndrome and ASD. The position would start now, over the summer, and would be ongoing into the school year next year. Responsibilities Implementing daily school lessons Oversee snack and lunch time Provide engaging and enriching play Assist with potty time Roll over from summer months into serving as A\'s aid in a local private school If there is interest and availability, additional hours may be possible Child profile A is a sweet and fun loving boy who is sensitive and loves to learn. He is engaged and enjoys participating. A does not have a sense of safety, so needs extra monitoring and fairly regular support. Qualifications Applicants should have experience working with children with special needs and genuinely love play and children.
