Material Handler

Our client, an industry leader in the manufacture, production, and installation of Walk-in Coolers and Freezers, is seeking a Material Handler with Sit down forklift to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of a dynamic environment supporting various production activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Pay Range: $18.00

Shift: 8am-4:30pm (Monday to Friday) or until finished

What's the Job?

• Utilizing hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products as needed for production, shipping, or waste management.

• Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic powered tools to assist in material handling.

• Constructing shipping containers, preparing products for shipment, and crating and/or banding products as required.

• Inspecting products to ensure conformance to quality, engineering, and customer requirements.

• Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards to promote a safe and organized work environment.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

• 1 year or more of Sit-Down Forklift experience

• Ability to read a measuring tape down to the 16th.

• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance.

• Willingness to undergo a 10-panel drug test.

• Steel toe/composite footwear required for safety.
