Responsibilities Cut, trim, and prepare various meats and seafood using knives and specialized equipment, ensuring consistent quality and presentation Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently to portion and prepare products according to specifications Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, including cleaning workstations and equipment regularly Package products accurately, labeling items clearly for retail display or customer purchase Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all products meet freshness and safety standards Handle perishable goods responsibly, managing stock rotation and inventory levels to minimize waste Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering culinary suggestions, and assisting with selections Experience Proven experience in food production or butchery within a retail store or food industry setting Hands-on experience with meat cutting, fish handling, slicing techniques, and trimming methods Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial environment Knowledge of retail store operations related to food handling, packaging, and customer service Basic math skills for accurate weight measurement and pricing calculations Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for culinary arts is valued highly Ability to operate meat processing machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Join us if you are passionate about food preparation, dedicated to quality craftsmanship, and eager to deliver exceptional service.
