Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, and deliver scalable data and integration solutions. This role focuses on data transfers, data exchange between systems, and system-to-system interoperability in support of data privacy initiatives. The analyst will collaborate with business partners, architects, developers, data engineers, and vendors to translate business objectives into actionable requirements and ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, non-functional, data, and integration requirements.
• Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and use cases.
• Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze enterprise data sources, data flows, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Define source-to-target mappings, business rules, data transformations, and data quality requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to support analytics, reporting, and data platform initiatives.
• Gather and document system integration requirements, including specifications, payload structures, field mappings, and integration workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams on event-driven architectures and system integrations.
• Partner with solution architects and technical teams to evaluate solution options and recommend approaches.
• Develop test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and system-to-system test plans and test cases.
• Support root cause analysis and resolution of production issues involving data or integrations.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with data platforms and supporting entire project lifecycle implementations.
• Experience supporting enterprise software development and system implementation projects.
• Experience working with data-centric applications, digital platforms, and cloud-based solutions.
