Cable Technician (Structured Cabling) - Commercial Projects Overview Our client is seeking dependable *Cable Technicians* to support growing commercial installation projects throughout the Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma markets. This position focuses on structured cabling installations, including pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in commercial construction and renovation environments. Key Responsibilities
* Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cable in commercial environments
* Terminate and test structured cabling systems
* Install cable pathways, cable trays, and support systems
* Assist with rack-and-stack activities and network equipment installations
* Install wireless access points (WAPs), A/V systems, and related low-voltage equipment
* Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and installation standards
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule
Required Qualifications
* 6+ months of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage installation, electrical, telecommunications, or related field work
* Experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
* Experience working on commercial construction or renovation projects
* Basic understanding of low-voltage systems and wiring standards
* Reliable transportation to project sites
* Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in active construction environments
* Must possess basic hand tools, including:
* Snips
* Crimpers
* Screwdriver set
* Punch-down tool

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with rack-and-stack installations
* Wireless access point (WAP) installation experience
* Fiber optic cabling experience
* Experience with cable trays and pathway installations
* Low-voltage, electrical, or telecommunications certifications

*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
