JOB SUMMARY: Ensures the office is staffed, running properly and resources are available to meet our patient’s needs. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Including but not limited to the following.

• High school graduate or GED equivalent

• Minimum of six months office experience, home health experience preferred.

• Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for home health care.

• Good written, verbal communication and documentation skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to the following.

1. Greet visitors as they enter Valley View Home Health Care, answers calls courteously, general information questions, screens visitors and delivers messages on a timely manner; refers call appropriately.

2. Maintains files/medical records for Valley View Home Health Care according to agency policy and procedure.

3. Performs photocopying and other clerical functions requested by management.

4. Type memos, correspondence, agendas and reports as requested.

5. Make appointments and informs staff members of upcoming meetings or deadlines.

6. Sorts and distributes incoming mail; logs all outgoing mail.

7. Monitors aged unsigned physician orders and submits second and third requests for signed orders to overdue physicians, calls or visits the offices of seriously overdue physicians.

8. Medical supply monitoring and ordering. Making sure all medical supplies are current and up to date, eliminating expired inventory.

9. Backup to the Intake Coordinator directing all daily patient referral and intake operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of intake policies including staffing and/or scheduling visits, informing staff of any changes, updates, etc., regarding admissions; discharges, visits, schedules; and clinical meetings as directed by the Clinical Coordinator, Director of Clinical Services and/or Administrator.

10. Strictly adheres to company policy on time and attendance.

11. Cooperates with supervisors, co-workers, client/family, and the community.

12. Is self-reliant and able to do multi-tasks while being a team player.

13. Shows interest, asks questions, seeks information, and follows instruction of supervisors.

14. Does not utilize company property or time for personal use.

15. Participates in the after-office hours on-call rotation

16. Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator, Director of Clinical Services and/or Administrator.

Frequent typing and telephone communication. Utilizes PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, fax/copy machine and other related office equipment. Some occasional driving.

 

JOB RELATIONSHIP: Supervised by Administrator/DCS

 

RISK EXPOSURE: Low risk LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: Physical activities may include but are not limited to: driving, standing, sitting, walking, stooping, lifting and carrying.
