Your Day
br p strongThe job responsibilities may include the following:/strong br ul liTearing down anything from high-rise apartment buildings to bridges and factories. liUsing demolition tools, manually or mechanically, including heavy wrecking machinery and equipment. liBlasting and/or using explosives or cutting torches. liReading and interpreting plans and specifications for a demolition project. liSetting up and taking down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. liBuilding and dismantling fences and gates. liStripping anything of value, such as pipes, radiators, and light fixtures from inside a structure. liWorking on ladders and with mechanical equipment as needed. liAbility to use hand and power tools. liAssisting the foreman/supervisor on site with daily tasks. liObtaining required technical knowledge to use various tools, or computerized machines. liCarrying or lifting heavy objects as well as squatting, kneeling, bending, or crawling in
