Senior Commercial Real Estate Appraiser

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to join our growing Florida team in Tampa . This position offers the opportunity to work throughout the greater Tampa Bay region and surrounding markets, supporting a diverse range of valuation assignments while developing lasting relationships in one of Florida’s most dynamic commercial real estate markets.

In this role, you will complete complex valuation assignments across a variety of property types and engagement purposes, including financial reporting, acquisitions, mortgage lending, portfolio analysis, feasibility studies, litigation support, eminent domain, and estate planning. You’ll collaborate with a respected team of professionals and leverage the resources of a national platform while maintaining a strong local market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full-scope commercial real estate valuations, including industrial, retail, office, multi-family, and special-use properties.
• Prepare detailed appraisal and consulting reports tailored to client needs.
• Work alongside senior-level appraisers and MAI-designated professionals.
• Interface directly with clients, providing clear, data-supported insights.
• Contribute to high-profile projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience preparing appraisals for various commercial property types.
• Solid understanding of valuation principles, commercial real estate terminology, and property tax jurisdictional processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and valuation/reporting tools (e.g., Argus, Excel, CoStar).
• Self-starter mindset with a passion for professional growth.

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active Florida Certified General Appraiser License required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser (broad property type exposure preferred).
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance required for territory travel.
