Data Scientist, Financial Services Consulting

Salary: $67,500 - 112,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a masters or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative discipline, with a strong academic track record.
• We require at least one year of analytical experience in Financial Services or a related industry.
• We value strong analytical, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• We need versatile communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels and with external partners in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
• We require the ability to travel approximately 10% to 20% as business needs demand.
• We require advanced programming capability in a statistical language such as R or Python.
• We require experience with additional data and programming tools such as SQL, Hive, C/C++, or Java.

• We partner with internal and external cross-functional teams to support new business initiatives and deliver long-term value-driven product ideas for US financial services customers.
• We lead analytic client engagements across descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis throughout the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle.
• We develop and run programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large-scale datasets using R, Python, and SQL.
• We present analytical insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively to internal and external audiences, including executives.
• We create project proposals, sales presentations, and marketing collateral that support adoption of integrated customer solutions.
• We identify opportunities for customers to test and adopt our analytic products and services.
• We mentor and train junior team members while managing initiatives with limited direct oversight.
• We help foster a high-performance culture and an environment that reflects our brand and commitment to excellence.
