Job Summary:
The medical surgical floor nursing position is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing patient care within a neuro patient population, including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule and follows facility-specific operational protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois
• Minimum Experience: 0 years
• Certifications and Education Requirements: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
• Shift: 12-hour night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license, BLS, NIHSS, 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, experience with EPIC electronic medical records, and strong Med/Surg skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience including stroke, neurosurgical, cranial, ENT, or seizure patient care
• Float: As needed to other medical-surgical units
• Additional Information: Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1/5 or 1/6, neuro patient population including but not limited to stroke, spine, cranial, ENT, and seizure patients.
• Submission Requirements: Updated resume, Skills Checklist completed within 12 months, one reference within 12 months, Illinois license verification
• Orientation: Scheduled on Wednesdays or Thursdays, with 10 hours non-billable. Eight hours allocated for EPIC training and 12 hours on unit
